Who we are The Shaftesbury Partnership Limited (“SPX”, “we”) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 05688293, registered office 43 Shirley Road, Leicester, LE2 3LL. For any question about this notice or your information, email info@spx.ventures.
What we collect When you contact us through our website form or by email, we collect your name, email address, telephone number (if you give it) and the content of your message. If you register for an event, we collect the details you send us to arrange your attendance. Our website also collects limited technical information, described in our Cookie policy.
Why we use it and our legal basis We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange events you ask to attend, and discuss working with you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and running our work. Where you are asking about entering into an agreement with us, we also rely on taking steps at your request before a contract. We will only send you news or updates if you ask us to, and you can stop them at any time by emailing info@spx.ventures.
Who receives it Your information is seen by the members of our team who need it to respond. It is also held by the service providers who run our website, contact form and email on our behalf, currently through WordPress and Google Workspace. We do not sell your information.
Transfers outside the UK Some of our service providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK’s approved contract terms to protect it.
How long we keep it Our work in social reform often involves relationships that develop over many years. We keep a basic record of people we have been in contact with — name, organisation, contact details and areas of shared interest — for as long as there is a realistic prospect of working together. We decide this by looking at how recently we have been in contact, whether there is an ongoing or planned project or conversation, and whether you have told us you are no longer interested. We delete the detailed content of enquiries once it is no longer needed to respond or follow up. If we work together, we keep records as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for as long as needed to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing info@spx.ventures.
Your rights You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. You can also object to our use of it based on legitimate interests. Email info@spx.ventures and we will respond within one month.
Complaints If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
